Personality:

[Perceptive] | [Aloof] | [Intense] | [Independent] | [Dark/cold] | [Vindictive] | [Sadistic] | [Ambitious/Manipulative] | [Wounded]

Bullet; Green [Perceptive]
Asar is more observant than most, it is not easy to fool him or catch him off guard. He has a quick eye that can detect small details and sharp ears that catch the slightest of noises. He has gained a knack for perceiving what others desire and he has been known to play off these to get what he wants.

Bullet; Blue [Aloof]
Centuries of being alone has made Asar fond of the quiet that comes with isolation, he enjoys the silence of his own thoughts and gets quite annoyed when that blessed silence is disturbed by the stupid opinions of others. When amid a large crowd Asar will naturally gravitate towards the edges, he likes his space and he also finds that one can control a crowd from the back just as easily from the front if one knows what they are doing.

Bullet; Blue [Intense] "The center of my attention is a very bad place to be."
Many would describe being in Asar's presence as taking a deep plunge into dark icy waters. He has a piercing unwavering gaze which coupled with his differently colored eyes has been known to cause intense fear. The very air around him seems to vibrate with power when he is angered. These effects have been cultured and refined by Asar for centuries, he loves the feeling of power he gets when others tremble at his approach or melt away under his glare.

Bullet; Blue [Independent] "You are nothing to me."
Demon he may be but Asar holds no loyalty to the devil, in his eyes he is just as fit to rule. On top of his he holds himself on a higher tier than the other demons, the only thing he has in common with them is his hatred towards heaven. Other than that he sees them merely as a resource to be used, not to associate with and certainly not to trust.
His blinding pride and arrogance stem from his independent nature, he needs no one because he is better than everyone. He truly can not see value in others unless they can in some way benefit him.

Bullet; Black [Dark/Cold] "The shadows betray you, because they serve me."
There seems to be a nearly physical darkness about Asar, shadows appear to cling to him and darkness pools at his hooves. While many demon burn with the heat of hell, Asar seem to emit a deathly chill that cuts to the bone and leaves one breathless. His manner his icy as well and only worsens whenever anyone tries to show him warmth.

Bullet; Black [Vindictive] "Never shall I rest until all the blood of heaven runs under my hooves."
Asar ever has his thoughts bent on how he can destroy the angels and make war against heaven. He sees his fall from heaven as an unjust act and will do whatever it takes to get revenge. It has become almost an obsession for him and he will tear down anyone who stands in his way. Over the years many angel unfortunate enough to meet Asar have found this out and Asar has earned the title, "Angel Killer."

Bullet; Black [Sadistic] "I am a fate far worse than death."
Most demons are quite cruel, and Asar is no exception. In fact he is known for being unusually brutal even towards other demons. Asar gets pleasure from watching others suffer whether its from physical or mental pain. The slower the torture the more fun Asar has. Yes, he does have a personal dungeon where he torments his "special victims."

Bullet; Black [Ambitious/Manipulative] "If I can not bend heaven, I will raise hell."
Asar's thirst for power is not something easy to pick up on unless you know him well. He keeps his power hungry nature hidden under a facade of respectfulness towards the few who are his superiors. However recently he has turned his ambitions towards the throne of Hell. For above all he desires to he called King. And he has the tools to manipulate anyone he needs to attain such a goal. He knows how to twist his words into exactly what someone wants to hear, coat them in just enough truth to hide his own self serving agenda. Often by the time someone realizes they have been used, it is far too late.

Bullet; Black [Wounded]
Not a trait one sees at first but it's there. Beneath the icy layers Asar is a deeply wounded being both in body and essence. Physically scars still mark his back from his agonizing fall from heaven and the loss of his wings. As for his personality it twisted him into something he was never meant to be. Over time be began to embrace his new demonic existence but deep down he is still bitterly saddened by the loss of his home and family. Perhaps a small part of him is still screaming for redemption?

History:

(Foal)
He remembers... playing under the shadows of the archangel's wings at the beginning of time. He and his brother, Constantine, where among the first angels created by the gods after they can created the six archangels. And the six wings at Asar's sides made him the seventh, those wings were a promise of power.

He remembers... exploring every corner of heaven side by side with his brother. The other colt laughing and calling him by his true name, "Asariel." And he answering with the name he was fond of calling his brother, "Costel." The two of them would tear through heaven on their merry games. And whenever an angel rebuked them for causing such a ruckus, Costel would apologies and Asariel would laugh. Even at a young age, Asariel was probably a bit too curious for his own good always willing to go two steps further than his brother. He had a habit of asking questions that made the older angels uncomfortable, for the most part his queries were innocent but among angels even curiosity could become dangerous.

(Adolescent)
Asariel began his training to fill his noble role as an archangel, a task he took very seriously. But he still had plenty of time to spend with Constantine and their curious adventures began to include the earth which at the time was off limits to young angels like them. Nonetheless the mortal realm below fascinated the two angels and they often left heaven secretly to visit. During one of their trips Costel met a young mortal mare named Althala, and fell in love with her. Asariel made it his job to sneak his brother out of heaven to visit the mortal. The three of them roamed the earth on their merry adventures, and Asariel found that aside from Costel, Althala was his best friend. Perhaps even something more, but he dared not express such feelings for he cared also for his brother.

During this time many of the young angels had started training to fight under the archangel, Raphael. For whispers of oncoming war had begun to circulate among the hosts of heaven. While training Asariel quickly began to show a natural skill over the others. Seeing the young archangels skill, Raphael took Asariel under his wing as his apprentice. The extra training was intense and difficult but Asariel learned much more complex magical and physical attacks and defenses. His relationship to the older archangel grew until he almost saw Raphael as a father figure. In return Raphael came to see the quick witted young archangel as a son, and thus he was doomed to be blinded by the truth until it was too late.

(Adult)
Upon completing his training under Raphael, Asariel ascended to the rank he had been created to fill. Now a powerful Archangel, Asariel was the image of power and light. However his eyes where more open than most and his childhood curiosity and independence led him to continue to question. He had seen how the mortals lived, with free wills and minds. And he began to question some things about how heaven was run, like how angels are expected to follow higher orders blindly and without question. Who was truly in power in heaven? He even went so far as to shame Raphael in a mock training fight, clearly showing that he deemed himself just as powerful as the older Archangel. This began to cause a disturbance among the angels. Some brought the matter up before Raphael but he merely waved the suspicions towards Asariel away. He had trained the young stallion after all, and he was proud of how Asariel had turned out, so powerful and filled with burning possibilities. He knew Asariel was destined fro greatness so he and the other archangels did not staunch the young stallion's independence. For how could they know that it would turn to rebellion?

When Asariel was ordered to punish an innocent mortal without explanation he outright refused, many angels took this as rebellion and the matter was brought before the other archangels. At the same time it was found out that one of the angels, (Costel) had fallen in love with a mortal. Costel was blamed and a punishment was pronounced. He was to be kicked out of heaven. But Asariel wouldn't let his friend suffer such a thing so he stepped forward saying that it was him who had committed such a heinous crime and had only taken Costel unwillingly with him to earth. The other angels believed Asariel and added the crime to the archangel's list. Costel's punishment fell on Asariel's shoulders. He was stripped of his grace and beaten out of heaven. And so he fell, his six magnificent black wings ripping from his back in the fiery fall.

Asariel awoke in agony at the bottom of a crater of blasted earth. Much more than his wings had been ripped away in the fall, his coat had darkened, his back was severely, and many of the qualities that had made him an angel seemed to have been burned away. In their place a darkness began to fill him and he forsook his name and called himself, Asar. Painfully Asar made his way across the earth, sparing no being that came across his path. Eventually his dark ways began to consume him and he joined the demons of hell. As a demon he enjoyed much more independence and traveled both hell and earth, all the while nurturing the flame of revenge he harbored for the hosts of heaven. A flame he was able to fan during the War, where he killed numerous angels and nearly killed Constantine. Asar also fought an inconclusive battle with his former master,Raphael. Despite all of Asar’s skills in battle the demons were still pushed back into hell, and their allies, the monsters were trapped in Purgatory.

For centuries he has hunted down angels, his own brothers and sisters, and killed them. His victims skulls he carves and wears as a warning, it seems Asar has broken all his ties with heaven. Not long ago Costel and Asar met once more, the meeting did not go in the angel's favor. Asar has imprisoned his brother in hell and currently tortures him. The demon has long since forgotten his prayers but his loyalties don't entirely lie with the devil either. As time has passed Asar has finally deeming it the right time to begin to make his move for the throne. He has begun to stir up the pot of hell and it is only a matter of time before it boils over and then it does Asar aims to make himself King.

Thoughts about others:

Angels:
He hates them with a passion, and has been trying to hunt down and kill as many as he can. He
sees angels as brainwashed little do goods who have no concept of freedom or emotions. He harbors
a deep feeling of hate and betrayal towards heaven and will do whatever it takes to see the fall of
the angels

Demons:
Despite being a demon Asar looks down on others of his kind as filth. He was once an
archangel after all and wielded power unimaginable and to him most demons are still beneath him.
They are savage and vile, lacking the precision and poise. Most demons repulse Asar but he
suffers to work with them at times.

Mortals:
To Asar mortals are weak soft beings, easily killed and easily manipulated. However he harbors a
grudging respect for their ability to make their own choices and live their own lives. And every once in
a while he has been known to respect certain mortals who are brave and don't stink of fear at his presence.

Facts:

- One of Asar's skills is carving which can be seen on the skulls he wears, skulls which were taken from angels he had killed
- While many know he was a former angel not many realized that Asar was an Archangel named Asariel, that knowledge has been lost to all but the oldest beings
- He has two sharp fangs
- Asar has a massive and ferocious hellhound named Baztuk who obeys its master's every command
